Yuriko Murakami, age 73, of Belton passed from this life during the afternoon hours of Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at Scott and White Hospital in Temple. Born in Sasebo, Japan on the 10th day of August 1946 she was the daughter of Mamorue and Matsue Arima.

Yuriko spent her childhood and early adulthood in Japan. After making her way to America Yuriko married Yoshihiro Murakami in Los Angeles, California. The two would spend the next 30 years together building a life and walking hand in hand together. Yuriko loved and enjoyed life to the fullest. She was very outgoing and happy; she would bring a smile to your face any time that you were around her. Yuriko loved going to St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Temple. She was a devout Catholic and very much knew of her eternal reward in heaven when her time here on earth was complete. Yuriko has been a resident of Temple since 2011.
She is preceded in death by her father Mamorue.
Yuriko leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband Yoshihiro, 1 daughter Katherine and 1 son Benjamin. She also leaves her mother Matsue and 2 grandchildren.
A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Temple on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at 11 o’clock a.m. with the Blessed Rosary being said at 10 o’clock a.m. Yuriko’s ashes will be interred in the columbarium at St. Luke’s Catholic Church after the Mass.
