Rafael Alfaro Naranjo, aged 78 years, of Belton passed away peacefully in his sleep during the morning hours of Friday, June 15, 2018. He was born on the 12th day of April 1940 in Poteet, Texas to Jose and Antonia (Alfaro) Naranjo.
More than a half century has passed since Rafael fell in love with Emma Ortiz Resendez. The two were married in Lubbock, Texas on October 8, 1958 and from there they would spend the next 59 years together building a life and raising a family. The newlywed couple would end up planting their roots in Belton, Texas shortly after being married. Rafael was a member of God’s House of Restoration in Temple.
Rafael is preceded in death by his parents Jose and Antonia, 2 sons David Naranjo and Rafael Naranjo Jr. as well as 6 brothers and 2 sisters.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife Emma Naranjo of Belton, 3 daughters Diana Naranjo of Temple, Grace Munoz and husband Roy of Morgan’s Point, Elisa Dodson and husband Jeffery of Orting, WA, 1 son James Naranjo of Temple, 10 grandchildren, 21 Great-grandchildren and 7 great-great- grandchildren. Rafael is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
All of the services for Rafael will be private.
