Ralph Boyd Curts Jr.
Ralph Boyd Curts, Jr., aged 48 years, of Temple passed away peacefully with his family by his side during the evening hours of Monday, May 14, 2018 at his home. He was born on the 13th day of October 1969 in Frankfurt, Germany to Ralph, Sr. and Mary Jane (Bradford) Curts.
In his early years Ralph graduated from Temple High School. On December 31, 2015 Ralph married Dawn Oxford in Temple. Ralph and Dawn could be found on many occasions dancing the night away at one of the local dancing halls. Among being a fantastic two-stepping dance partner Ralph also enjoyed playing pool and was a member of the local Amateur Pool Association (APA). He enjoyed spending evening with Dawn and their friends at the Green Door in Temple where the pool league would frequently gather to play pool and enjoy the night. Ralph also enjoyed spending weekends hunting for treasures among the many garage and estates sales in the area where he was always looking for a bargain. He loved to work on cars and go to the car shows around Temple. Ralph made his living most recently as a diesel mechanic for Capital Equipment but had also worked for Temple Towing for over 14 years previously. Ralph has been a resident of the Temple area for his entire life.
He is preceded in death by his father Ralph, Sr. and one sister Jennifer Curts.
Ralph leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved wife Dawn and his mother Jane Crow both of Temple. He also leaves his son Andrew Curts and daughter Katie Curts both of Kingwood as well as his 4 step sons, Alex Rake and wife Grace of Temple, Anthony Rake and friend Emily Winkler of Stephenville, Ethan Rake and wife Kaitlyn of San Diego, California, Noah Rake and wife Sarah of Lakewood, Washington and one step sister Jodi Curts of Lawton, Oklahoma. Ralph will also be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be held at Hewett-Arney Funeral Home in Temple on Monday, May 21, 2018 at 1 PM with Tim Lohr officiating with a burial to follow at Greathouse Cemetery. The family will accept visitors at the funeral home on Sunday, May 20, 2018 from 6-8 PM.
