Cynthia Dixon (Nichols)
Cynthia "Cindy" Dixon (Nichols) passed away peacefully in her home on April 20, 2018 in Morgan's Point, TX due to complications related to lung cancer. She was only 60 years old.
Cindy was born on Oct 30, 1957 in Fort Worth, TX to her parents, Betty and Jimmy Nichols. She married Richard "Ricki" Dixon on Oct 9, 1976.
Cindy was a devoted wife and mother. She enjoyed the outdoors. She and Ricki would regularly spend their anniversary down on the coast as Cindy loved the beach. She enjoyed camping and would look forward to camping trips every year with her family.
When the children were younger Cindy was your typical soccer mom running to and from events like dances, soccer games, practices and performances to make sure she was there for her kids special moments. Cindy was also very involved in her grandchildren's lives, making sure that they knew how much their Memaw loved them. She was a strong advocate of family and tradition. She put her family first and looked forward to the holidays and other times spent together.
Cindy Dixon is survived by her husband Ricki Dixon; her parents Betty and Jimmy Nichols; her sisters Sherry and Denise; her son and daughter-in-law Lucas and Amanda Dixon; her daughter and son-in-law Lindsy and Jeremy Hughes; her grandchildren Christopher and Jaxon Dixon; and 2 nieces and 3 nephews.
Cindy will be laid to rest during a graveside ceremony on April 25, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Moffat Cemetery. A visitation will take place on April 24 from 6:00 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Hewett-Arney Funeral Home in Temple. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Cindy's life. In lieu of flowers please make donations in Cindy's honor to Kindred Hospice.
